Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare for the initial consultation?

In order to make the process as smooth as possible, It is
important to have your photos organized prior to the
consultation.  The easiest way to accomplish this is by
separating your photos by event, theme, etc. and placing
them in a zip lock bag or an envelope.  Then put them in
the order in which you would like to see them appear in
the album.

What should I expect during my initial consultation?

During the initial consultation we will review your
photos and discuss the design of your album.  We will
also talk about what ideas, themes and colors you prefer
for your scrapbook.  By the end of our meeting, we should
know what size album you would like and how many
pages to include.  I will then be able to provide you with a
quote and a projected time frame for the completion of
your scrapbook.

What if I don’t live in your area?

This is not a problem! We can service anyone in any
area.  The only difference is that the consultation is then
done by phone and the pictures are mailed to us.  We will
carefully package your order and send it to you.  A
shipping fee will be added to the order.

How are the scrapbooks shipped/delivered?

If you are within 15-miles of Serendipity Scraps, the
scrapbook will be hand delivered to you. If you are
outside of the area, it will be delivered via FedEx, UPS, or
USPS Priority Mail. The package will be specially
packed to prevent damage. If requested, it can be insured
at an additional fee.

How many photos fit on one page?

The amount of photos per page really depends on the size
of the pictures.  Usually, a 12 X 12 album will hold
between 1-4 photos per page or 2-8 per two page layout.
Some designs can hold more, so just let me know how
many you would like to include and I will try my best to
make it happen.

How long does it take to complete each scrapbook?

I create each scrapbook as though I were designing it for
myself. A great deal of time, careful planning and
attention go
es into creating each page of your
scrapbook.
After gathering all pictures and memorabilia,
a
12 X 12 scrapbook usually takes about four to six
weeks.  The time frame may be a  little longer during the
holidays.  If you have a deadline though, please let me
know and I will try to work within it.

What is journaling?

Journaling is the story behind your photos and is one of
the most important features of a scrapbook.  Journaling
is a detailed account of dates, places, names, etc.
Journaling can also include: songs, poems, quotes, etc.
You can put as much journaling or as little as you want
on each page.

How should I submit my journaling?

Some people prefer handwriting their own journaling into
the scrapbook after completion.  If this is the case,  I will
leave journaling blocks in order for you to write.  If you
choose to have computer created journaling, I would prefer
you to send me a Word document.  This ensures
everything is legible and properly transcribed.

What is acid and lignin free?

Acid and lignin are substances that cause the premature
deterioration of your photos.  In order to preserve your
memories for many years to come,  Serendipity Scraps
uses only the highest quality products which do not
contain these agents.

Can I see some of the pages as my scrapbook is
being created?

Of course!  At your request, I can e-mail you some pages
to make sure you like the design and layout.  My goal is
to create a scrapbook that suits your personality and
style.

How do I pay for my scrapbook?

money orders.

member or friend.  The gift certificate will be custom
